I will need some trim weight pockets to go with a BP/W. After looking at the Halcyon, Oxycheq and XS Scuba pockets I found the ones manufactured by Zeagle.
How do they mesure up to the previously mentioned products? Do they carry their advertised capacity? How do they affect the streamlining of the rig. They look larger than the Halcyon and Oxycheq pockets. Is the build on par with the usual Zeagle quality?

I have the stock trim pockets on my Brigade. I didn't see them on the linked page but they are probably weighted at 20# and I'm guessing you could fit that much hard weight in there. Not sure about soft weights, though. I dive in warm water with a 3 mil wetsuit so I don't need much weight to start with.

Falco:
The trim weigh pockets in question can be seen here ( http://www.zeagle.com/index.php?submenu=Accessories&src=gendocs&link=Accy_weights ) Part number 8050S.

Thanks - makes it much easier!!!

That weigh pouch will hold up to a 6 lb weight and attaches to the tank band of the BC. They are sold seperately - not in pairs. The retail price is $18.

FYI - The US Navy requires one of these pouches on every BC we make for them...

Thanks!

Scott

How much trim weight do you need? Most people I have talked to only needed a few pounds: it's "trim" after all... fine tuning, not a weight belt replacement system.

If you only need a few pounds, a couple of bullet weights are completely bullet-proof (har-har) and slip on the the cam bands quite easily. Way cheaper than the special pouches, and there's nothing to tear or wear, unlike cloth (no matter how sturdy that and well made that cloth may be, it won't outlast a solid weight).

Now THAT is an excellent idea. Why didn't I think of that?

I unfortunately don't own my tanks and I find myself diving with anything from AL80 to a PST E8-130 depending an the dive and cylinder availaility. I don't feel like reconfiguring my weightbelt everytime I change tanks. I need a trim system that can adapt to the different buoyancy characteristics of varous cylinders.

Ok, I agree that makes perfect sense. Pockets seem like a good way to go, then.

The Zeagles are probably quite good. I will say that I see a LOT of people using the XS Scuba pouches for trim weights. (Those who don't just use bullet weights, that is!) Both accomplish the same goal, I just see a lot more of the XS Scuba than the Zeagle. Which may or may not have any significance whatsoever. Might be because the XS pouches are a bit cheaper... around $10 each, IIRC.
