What do ya'll think about a Zeagle Scout for my wife. She likes the openness of the back inflate design. Thanks

The Scout is a basic back inflate BC. It lacks integrated weight pockets and a cummerbund (it uses a waist strap with QR buckle). We have a few of these in our rental fleet for classes for which they work quite well. If desired, you could add an optional cummerbund or if considering integrated weights, take a look at the Escape.

It is a fine BC - I used one almost exclusively for 5 years.

Your wife, however, may like the fit and comfort of the Zena BC.

I have used one for several years and it is my BC of choice for warm water dives. It packs well and has plenty of lift for warm water diving. It's "weight intergration" consists of 2 pouches in the back beside the tank. They do ok if you don't need much weight, 8 to 10 lbs max, any more than that and they tend to turtle you. She can always use a weightbelt in addition to the rear weights if she needs more weight. As an only BC and if she wants weight intergration and needs more than around 8 lbs I would suggest looking at the Escape or Zena instead.

My tryst/girlfriend used my old one recently for snorkeling. It was a little too big, but otherwise fit great. The straps went under her arms and didn't interfere with her breasts at all.

Thanks for the info. I think we'll look at the Zena, but she was real comfortable with the Scout. She only uses 14 # max with 5 mil and we just got some steel tanks so I would think weight shouldn't be to big an issue. Thanks again. Robbie
