I have an older Zeagle Ranger that did not come with weight pockets on the tank band. Is this something that should be added, and if so, what pocket? Do I go with the Zeagle add on pockets, or are the smaller XS Scuba pockets sufficient? The Zeagles are 10lb capacity while the XS Scuba pockets are 5.

My diving to date has been in the Carribean, but I have a 7mil wet suit that I intend to dive with here in Wisconsin. I haven't dove with this BC yet, I took did my OW with a Seaquest Balance and 12lbs of weight.

You will likely need appx. 20 lbs for a 7 mil in salt (of course this varies with body size, experience, etc). If you have 2 cam bands (not sure about Ranger) you will be able to attach 4 XS pockets. I use these and have been very happy with them.

Yes, it has two cam bands. The 7mil will be used in fresh water here in Wisconsin.

No need to add no stinkin weight to your cam bands

Care to expand on that? Understand, I'm new to diving so give it to me in layman's terms.

I would add the pockets if you find yourself leaning forward when you are floating with the BC inflated. The rear weights help trim you at the surface.
