If I ordered one at LeisurePro, with the cheapest shipping option to Canada it would be $45.45. With the exchange rate figured in, it would still be cheaper at the LDS, strangely enough. Not that I plan to buy one...

ScottZeagle:
Are you guys talking about the SAME crotch strap??

Part # 7024C - Split Saddle Strap for Ranger and Tech BC's.
MSRP $25

I think so, Scott. I just looked it up on LP. they use their own SKU, ZGLSSS, but it looks to be the same, and it's $16.95.

LP's shipping costs to Canada are ridiculous; that's why I don't order from them. At LP the size/weight doesn't matter, it all costs the same to ship to us. I recently needed some new o-rings for my underwater housing; I ordered them from a company in San Diego, and shipping was only $6.

Edit: I just checked again, and LP has lowered their shipping prices a bit: not that it matters, because shipping for that item is still $19.25, more than the item costs! So $36.20 total. Still more than I'm willing to pay.

I would ask Larry at "you know where" if he can sell you one and throw it in a padded envelope... ;)

Now theres an idea, seems like it cost me $1.50 to ship a CD US mail to Canada a while back. They are about the same size and weight.

This is an interesting dilema we have here in Canada. I've researched alot of things and we tend to pay alot more for certain things and alot of it seems to come from shipping. Recently purchased a new axle for my lawn tractor for about $300 from the US after shipping etc. I could have bought the same axle in Canada for $450 plus taxes.......yuk. If Scott says the straps are only about $20 then I should be able to source someone up here who can bring a crotch strap in cheap.

Recently pricing a new Dive Computer and there is a huge difference in cost compared to the US. An Areis Atmos 2 up here I can get for about $400 plus taxes(on a $50 off Deal) because its old stock, however, I have seen them on the net for $250 US or about $300 CDN.

Ah well, Thanks for all the Strap Info
