Moodiejeff:
Yummy!!! Unfortunately my wife isn't big on places like this. She's not into Arrachera or Pork so I didn't get any the last time. :(

I know some people don't wander back in the hood (not that El Pique is that far back), I was pleasantly surprised by El Foco for good Tacos. It is on 5 between Prima's and Tony Rome's.

Other great Taco's are:
Camillo's: Fish or Shrimp Taco's
Casa Denis: Mayan Pork (though I'm sure all their tacos are good)

Oh damn you! I just had a flashback when you mentioned the Mayan Pork at Casa Denis. That and a cold bottle of Dos Equis, it doesn't get any better...

I think some of you missed the OP's questions. He is not asking for everyone's favorites places to eat on the island, he asked specifically about bars and seafood and authentic MX food. AS he states n his post...he's already read all about the general restaurant recommendations.

Paradise Hunter:
The posts regarding great places to eat have been really helpful. But we wanted a few suggestions in a couple of specific areas....
1.best watering hole...
2. best authentic Mexican
3. best seafood
4. south end restaurants

The El Casino has the best mojioto's on the island, right nest door to the El Foco which has awsome taco's

Must be too early, finger (and brain) not working yet, that should be "next door" and "awesome"...................

Wet Wendys for Margaritas and coldest Bohemia on the island.

Great stuff! It looks like people are as passionate about Cozumel's restaurants as they are the wall dives. I can tell already ..... lots of great restaurants and not enough days. Tough job but somebody has to do it. I hope everything is casual, because we will be. It sounds like that is the case. I will still take more input on: watering holes, mexican cuisine spots and seafood restaurants.

Safe diving!
