Aeris atmos 2, simple reliable wrist computer for rec diving. Not air integrated, which I like. It's easy to read and understand; I don't spend a lot of time looking at it which is nice; mostly I want to see depth/time/N2 loading bar and that's it. I plan my dives pretty well and so I'm usually not too concerned about NDL.

It's a little on the big side; if I were loaded and interested in blowing some money needlessly, I'd have a look at the Mares Nemo wide, which might be a great combination of relatively small size with big numbers.

No air integration
Certainly. It's a great recreation dive computer. Especially good for people with smaller wrists that don't want a huge bulky item strapped to them.
Dive Rite's new computer because if I'm going to deal in what-ifs, I might as well go all the way.
I thought I'd be able to use it as a daily use wrist watch. It turns out that I like it too much and am too hard on things that I wear on my wrist on a daily basis so I only wear it for diving and offgassing now.
Non-user replaceable battery.
It works almost exactly the same as my wife's Archimedes console computer.

1) Yes, on a hose

1) Yes. Huge display, easy to program, tells me everything and then some
2) Yes. Everything the Pro Plus 2 is with the exception of air integration. I use a mini SPG for full redundancy.

If you could have gotten a different computer which one would it have been? Why?
1) Never thought about it
2) Same

What was the deciding factor for your decision to purchase this one?
1) Biggest display out there; don’t trust wireless units (my issue, not yours if you have one). I like the “Air Time Remaining”, “Dive Time Remaining”, and auto safety stop timer.
2) Killer deal

The one biggest drawback of the computer you use?
1) Big honker. Also, would like to be able to selectively toggle various audible alarms on/off, as opposed to all or none. Plus, $90 for a USB cord? Forget it!
2) None so far ...

The best feature of the model you use?
1) See “deciding factor” above
2) Same algorithm, programming, and similar display to Pro Plus 2

AI with hose

Would you recommend it? Why/why not?
Yes. Only for recreational use though. Nice and big display, easy to use. Has plenty of features to grow into.

If you could have gotten a different computer which one would it have been? Why?
D9 maybe. If I had more $$ I would have bought and AI, hose less with transmitter.

What was the deciding factor for your decision to purchase this one?
The price was right at my LDS.

The one biggest drawback of the computer you use?
It has a hose. But then again I like the fact that I will not be able to lose it.

The best feature of the model you use?
Download application. I love having everything on the computer. I'm a digital kid

Yes, Two gas switching, quality, and price.

This is the one i wanted.
What was the deciding factor for your decision to purchase this one?
Great deal on the computor I wanted.
The one biggest drawback of the computer you use?
No Mac data transfer as of yet (I could use virtual PC...yech)...otherwise none.
The best feature of the model you use?
Easier to read numbers, 2 gas switching, gauge mode, good decompression algorithm, usable accessories like the data transfer, protective window, bungee wrist mount, and great price for a proven computer.

Yes (Hose) & No

Both are very easy to read, reliable and do everything I need it to do!

If you could have gotten a different computer which one would it have been? Why?

I wish I had a wrist computer that was AI instead of 2 different computers.

What was the deciding factor for your decision to purchase this one?

The cobra was what I learned to dive with so I was used to it when it came time to buy it.
Then later on was shopping around for a cheap wrist comp. and was able to score a Vyper with one dive. I couldn't pass it up.

The one biggest drawback of the computer you use?

I like both, I just wish I could merge them into one !
Maybe smaller w/o losing the readability. I don't like the band of the Vyper at all and the compass on the cobra needs to be on my wrist.
Awful Suunto Download manager software.

The best feature of the model you use?

Easy to read and use, bullet proof reliability and logbook/history feature.

Was originally considering the Smart Z.

What was the deciding factor for your decision to purchase this one?

First, I made the decision to buy from lds, not online. I felt like it was wise to have local support on this, and to be able to try different models before I bought. LDS is ScubaPro dealer, so that narrowed down the potential candidates.
Second, I tried both the Smart Z and the Galileo Sol, and there was no comparison. Sol won the hands-on use tests easily.
Third, I liked diving with the wrist console better than a tethered one. Easier for me to keep an eye on the data.

The best feature of the model you use?

Some top candidates:
Computer is easily upgraded with new features via software.
Large (non wet contact) buttons make using easy. Had difficulties with wet contacts on Smart Z.
Electronic compass is awesome.

Dacor Darwin wrist computer.
Not air-intergrated.
I would recommend it. It is simple to use and can be use for Nitrox diving as well.
I am happy with my computer and I am not looking for another one.
PRICE...It costs about $300.
No drawback.
Clear and visible face, backlight, Nitrox usable, can lock 50 dives, you can change the batteries yourself, etc.
