Your choice of training agency?

OK,I know that for the most part, we are all somewhat pleased with our training agency but what is it that really separates it from the rest. Could be price, location, friends, or things of a deeper concern like PADI’s Wheel and multilevel diving, SDI’s solo course, or DIR’s uniformity. Either way, I was looking at just what set your agency from the rest or what you could not get from the other training agencies.

I chose mine simply because it was the first one I came to .... I continued with it (AOW, EAN, Rescue) because I liked the instructor.

So I guess it really came down to what I perceive a good instructor ... I couldn't really care less WHAT the agency initials are.

Have done NAUI, PADI, NAUI for different certs. Guess it really doesn't matter to me; don't suffer from brand loyalty either ;-)

ARCHMAN, you're exaggerating again. Can't be more than half a gazillion times, tops.

Nothing. They all $uck! It's the instructor that is important.

I dicn't choose the agency, I chose the club. Because I knew the course director (a guy disabled from Polio) fron the "swimming for future mothers" I have done with him while I was pregnant. + there is a kids section in the club.

Agencies set standards and police those standards. Those standards vary widely from one agency to another. Each agency's standards really separates it from the rest.
