Having entered the water at Shaw's Cove this morning at 7:17am and experienced the conditions first hand, I'm really curious what the basis is for the dive conditions reported on the Laguna Sea Sports website. This isn't meant as a flame; no reason to do that. But that report is not representative of the true conditions, at least for today. Water was colder, viz was higher, surf and surge were little to none. I went through the crevice and back, out to the end of the reef and around to the Crescent side, and back again. We had 15' of viz in many spots, and the water was calm. Guess you just gotta see for yourself sometimes.
