hello i was wondering what those reels /spools of line are for that people carry them on their bcds??

thanx

Usually that is a guideline reel or spool, used to aid in navigation. It may also be used to "shoot" a liftbag or surface marker to the surface for aid in decompression depth control and aid in being spotted by the boat.

Dear mjcurry, please take a course in how to use a reel. Deploying a reel can be a night mare if you try to learn on the fly.I dont believe anyone on line will disagree. Use common sense sir. Thank You
