but according to manuals I have XTX50/200 use same part number adjusting screw AP6577(in older manuals referred as AP6577/B) , XTX 100 is AP 6577/S. All of them require o-rings you mentioned.
Now I know on 50 - 200 XTX series the same adjusting screw is used.
Cheers.

Yes, XTX 50 and XTX200 2nd stages are identical part-for-part, except for logos.

XTX100 has a different adjusting knob/screw and a slightly different barrel.

Both of them(XTX-50 and 200) are reversible and come with "small" and "large" exhaust. There must be certain degree of differences to justify the colossal price tag on the 200.

Yep. Mostly, it's sold as set, so some of the price is for replaceable HP valve seat on first stage. Most of the price difference though is one striking difference on 2. stage. That chrome finished cover is soooooo expensive to make.

The ARCAP on FSR is the one and only genuine improvement over last 20yrs. And Apeks should have make it the standard on all their 1st stages.
I am not prepared to pay extra for the finishing.

Agree. Basic marketing.
If you offer two models (50 & 100), then people tend to choose the cheaper one (50).

If you add a middle model (50, 100, 200) and price the middle and higher model very, very close, people go for the more expensive option because it looks like a good deal.

And then for those who have extra money to spend, and have to buy The Best, you add an exclusive, limited edition, nice looking version.

And this has become so common that nobody event bats an eye. People just except this as something normal.
Google Predictably Irrational study.

XTX50 = "murdered out", stealthy like a ninja, tacti-cool
XTX100 = classy and stylish, just right :)
XTX200 = "ring of bling", Pimp My Rides, Xzibit, lowriders, spinners, chrome to the dome, easier for your buddy to see you during a night dive, etc.

I'm just kidding.

The choice comes down to fashion.
Function wise, my TX 40 breathes exactly like my ATX 200.
I'm guessing the XTX's do too.

With everybody guessing, I'll say that for sure it HAS to do with the fact that they're almost identical inside? :)
