Tungsten will limit which gases and blends you can use with it ie Nitrox.
Really ?..Why ? ...techs and manuals failed to mention that.

Alright..since the old gear is (probably) in one of the boxes I spread all over the world, here we go for a brand new equipment :
-Aqualung Pro QD BCD
-ATX Tungsten Apeks Reg (yes...you know that one :11doh
-Cobra 2 computer
-mini-console from ScubaPro as a back up
+ accessories and gadgets..hehe..
Et voila :10:
Trip is all set...will post pics if you want...
Have a nice weekend all...dive safe
Thanks everyone.
I have to make a decision in the next few days to get the regulator, valves and LP accessories together before the dive next weekend.
Though I liked the compact ScubaPro S600 (and even thought of getting a Titanium valve), Apeks seems to get the better mark. Apeks it is then
I have no budget limit (nothing to be ashamed of...),
Very nice, but it's really true with regulators (and with much other scuba gear) that more expensive does not mean better. The basic DST4 + XTX50 (or 100 or 200) is a beautiful, bulletproof regulator. Tech divers use these things at 200m+. Paying for extras merely gets you pointless, over-engineered decoration which is just something else to go wrong.
Thanks everyone.
I have no budget limit (nothing to be ashamed of...), so I'm going to look for a Black Pearl edition of the XTX. If they are all gone, I'll get a Tungsten, unless there are good reasons for you guys to insist on "non tungsten"...

A good reason? Well, getting the tungsten version (and paying the whollata extra...) will certainly prove you're a real smuck, and by using them valves everyone else will also know!
Seriously! Just ask around! It's true!!
For doubles the ultimate 1st stage for me is the one that comes with the XTX100 set, or the MK25 for that matter. -This is only due to hose routing, not performance. The day I'll be diving 40+ I'll be breathing trimix anyways.
