I bough a couple of XS weight pockets on amazon thinking I could attach them to my pro-fit harness and/or to my tank. It doesnt seems to work at all ... the pockets came with velcro ...

From the url

"These single weight pockets will fit any standard 2 inch webbing"

but what received seems they would only attach using velcro like those ones
http://www.xsscuba.com/weight_belts.html
WB101Q - Quick Attach Pocket

* Quick attachment without removal of weight belt
* Velcro® attachment to any 2" webbing

So did amazon screw my order?

So should I forget about putting weight pockets on my harness and simply go with a weight belt? Should I get a XS belt with velcro and use it with the pockets ? I only need 10-15 pounds (already have the DSS BP (6lbs) and weight plates (8 lbs) more for a 7mm wetsuit, should I go with seasoft weight belt? standart weight belt ? etc ...

Uh, try threading the webbing through the loops on the back of the pockets, the velcro is to close the pocket when you have weight in them.

They'll work, these are the right pockets. Just look at the back of them to see where the webbing goes through, tough to explain with words, but they are right.

[EDIT]-I see, there are two different pockets. You are screwed, I'd probably give up and take up knitting . . .

Seriously, the weight belt may be the easiest thing to do, if you have the soft DSS pro-fit harness, adding weight to the waist belt makes things sag a bit and causes the buckle to loosen up when diving. People are obsessed with eliminating weight belts these days, but they do have advantages in terms of trim and the ability to dump a bit of weight if need be.

Holy **** I'm feeling like a dumbass right now ...

You're right ...

You could put a grommet in the pocket & on the belt of the harness. This keeps the pocket from sliding. I did this with the Apex weight pockets, and it works perfectly. You will have to find some small stainless connectors to keep the grommets together. My pockets came with them because they use this system to mount on the Apeks harness.
