I'm a Fish!
hi guys and gals
I am looking for a manifold to set up a doubles rig using 2 older 72cf steels
not real picky on brand as this is really a kinda nastalgic project. I have another set of fabers i dive with but im making a custom work rig for special reasons.

also looking for:
an old double hosed reg, preferrably the 2 stage models circa 60s, but ill look at anything double hosed

stainles 6.9 bands
plus anything else considered vintage commercial and sport diving

I have a Dive Rite manifold you can have for $130.00 plus shipping . The manifold has been put on a set of al80's but never wet, so its semi new.

is it the old style DR or the newer one? no big deal really except id like to know.
I have an older scubapro in use now on a set of fabers. Will this dive rite work ok on the
72 steels, and what will be the spacing on the tanks after i set it up. Reason i ask is the tank bands. i dont want the rig to get to wide, infact thats exactly what i want to avoid. let me know your thoughts on this type of rig with that manifold and maybe we have a deal!

If you're looking for a center outlet manifold to use with a double hose reg, I unfortunately just sold mine, but you might check at vintagedoublehose.com. There's also likely to be someone who can set you up with the correct bands for 72s. You're right in that most modern bands and manifolds will put the tanks further apart.

I do have a fully restored, brand-new chromed royal aquamaster that I might be interested in selling in a few weeks, but it would be pretty expensive. A good, reasonably priced way to get into double hose regs is to buy the "DIY" special from Bryan at vintagedoublehose; it's got everything you need, you just put it together yourself. The reg that most people start with is the DA aquamaster; it's a good basic 2 stage reg that is easily upgraded with the phoenix nozzle. A royal in good condition could be $300-$400 and up.

Hi,

The manifold is the new style Dive Rite manifold.
The pt# is VA3000-200.
The center to center on mine is 8-1/4 to 8-1/2" center to center or there abouts.
What threads are the 72's , the dive rite is a 3/4-14 thread. (same as al80's)

As for how this manifold will work with the 72's, I really don't know.

Thanks, Jim

Hi i have an older center outlet manifold i am willing to sell for 70.00. pm or call 502-570-4657 brian

Hey jim
no for this rig im not going to the vintage look, this will be an actual almost daily dive rig. Its just
for special dives so i am NOT lookig for the central outlet you mentioned, not for this rig. However thanks for hooking me up with brian on that because i am looking for that type a rig as well for the old school show piece. This dive right modern should do the trick. You said 130 if i am not mistaking. get me shipping price and lets do it. Ill contact brian too about his double hose kits and manifold. Thanks for all the help.
