Cindy thanks for the words of encouragement. Its the port captain not the coast guard that has the last word on the boats going or not here. So far its still a thumbs down for Tuesday dives. I never expected this, this time of year. So we sit and wait. We cant even lay by the pool. Too windy. No rain now, just wind.
I miss my beloved Palancar. Thanks to all who feel sorry for me. I feel sorry for me too.

I only feel sorry for you a little bit! After all, you can at least see that beautiful blue water, smell the salt spray and exotic blossoms, and get scrumpcious guacamole at Ernesto's!

Enjoy! hehehe

As Natasha mentioned, Coz is having a bit of weather. If you'd like to keep an eye on it and get an idea of what the poor thing is having to deal with..check it out. The web cam is located at The Calling Station, Av. Rafael E. Melgar 27. (Main drag, facing the waterfront)

Natasha and Walter are being quite cryptic with this "Plan A" and "Plan B" stuff.

Is anyone else intriqued?

N - good luck on the weather down there. We're all doing our imaginary sun dances for you!

Plan A & Plan B.

You all know about Plan A, it's the plan we've discussed. As our ranks grew it caused a problem with Plan A. Even though I'll have 2 assistants with the class, Plan A would cause 1 of 2 problems. 1. exceeding student/teacher ratios. This would be breaking standards and as you've probably guessed, I won't do it. or 2. Having me (and the two assistants) make 4 dives with approximately half the group on dives 1 & 3 and the other half on dives 2 & 4. This would cause problems with the afternoon schedule as well as continued good will with the crew. An additional problem is Natasha will be cooking linch while we are diving. No wreck diving for Natasha.

Plan B solves the problems. Natasha cooks in the morning while half the group does their wreck dives. The other half eats lunch and brings Natasha (along with lunch for two assistants & me) to the boat. We swap AM divers for PM divers and go out for more wreck dives with the folks who prefered to sleep in.

Nothing is carved in stone, but this looks to be the best solution to the scheduling problem.

is that these poor, hapless idiots, er assistants will have to dive the wrecks twice with you... Now THATs a tough go :tease:

Let me be the first to express a preferrance for the morning dive slot.

It's been my experience that people get more and more "punchy" as a day wears on, and I don't think I could keep up with the "punsters" if I'm stuck on a dive boat at Four in the afternoon with this crowd! (I'll catch up after a nap!)

Besides - if I don't get up in the morning and do something, I'll drive you all crazy, not to mention Lydia! (I can see it now, 20+ years down the tube in one ill-fated dive trip....) No, deffinately have to be in the morning group...

Hey Natasha, if cookin Betsy is not much different than cookin Bambi. I might be able to lend a hand there.
Oh wait a sec...I'm having a flash back...fire, flames shooting up into the air....Fire department. Hummm... maybe this is not such a good idea.

Walter...

I'm for the morning dives as well.....

And since I earlier indicated a desire to dive in afternoon as well, does this mean I can be on board then (space allowing for plan "B"-ers")?

Essentially, I want to take every opportunity to be in the water.

And be sure to put me down for nitrox and large tanks (unless I borrow some from NetDoc).
