Has anyone dove the wreck of the Rhone recentley? It has been about 8 years since we did and I was wondering if it was still a dive worth doing while in the USVI'S.

We did the Rhone in March of 2006. It was a lovely dive.

It is worth diving, in my opinion. I dove it 3 times in the last two years with my family, and we all thought it was a great dive. It is very large and extremely well-preserved considering its age (~150 years). But there are coral and sponges growing over much of the wreckage, and a good assortment of fish. I would definitely dive it again if I was in the Virgin Islands, even having done it several times recently.

Havn't been there since pre 911, but I'd like to try it again.

I will be there next month. Anyone want to recommend a dive op for the Rhone? I am staying at Long Bay Beach Resort.

I would recommend UBS Divers. I have used them several times. They take out only your group in a small boat, so the service is very personalized.

I'm alone, so perhaps I need a larger operator with other divers already booked ...
