Looking for a good artifact/cruising wreck off the coast of NJ, out of shark inlet.

Looking for a good artifact/cruising wreck off the coast of NJ, out of shark inlet.

Start out with a dive shop with calendar trips - investigate the depth and history of the site - try a few dive boats and a few dive locations. You don't mention your experience or max depth in the Northeast, nitrox certification, do you carry a pony bottle or doubles, do you practice launching an SMB if you needed to....

Most boats give you a list of things you need to get on their boat. My thought is every boat is different in Captain, Crew and friendliness to newbies so try a few out to get a feel and you may decide you like one over the other...

Welcome, local bro! I enjoyed your profile. First, your LDS (local dive shop), not your agency, is Divers Two. [No worries!] (Learn to Dive | NJ Scuba Diving Shop |) Your agency doesn't matter one whit. You have no relationship with them other than the fact that someone from that agency certed you. You are not part of them in any formal way, you owe them nothing, and in return, they will do nothing for you other than send you the card you paid for.

BRD is spot on. Research is here: njscuba.net (copy and paste into your browser)

Suggestion: start with a local back bay dive with your LDS...
