I would like to indulge in a shameless plug for a friend of mine, which will be of intrest to local divers, wreck divers in particular. Gary Gentile has informed me that his latest book Shipwrecks of Massachusetts, South is now available. It will be for sale at the Boston Sea Rovers show at the beginning of March, as well as on his website and in local dive shops. It is so newly printed that he may not have it listed on his site just yet, but he does have the books in hand. Gary has graciously provided a chapter to preview on the Secret Squirrel Divers website (see below).

Regards,

Dennis

Locations, yes. Gary has made every effort to get the most exact locations to the wrecks that he publishes. In most cases he has visited the wrecks and obtained the numbers from the captain that brought him to the site. He will often note if the numbers are from AWOIS or not. If he describes the wrecksite in first person, he has been there and the numbers will be accurate. I know, because I as well as my friends, have taken him to various sites.

As a point of full disclosure; I have no financial intrest in any of this. The only intrest is in helping a friend. If making a couple post on a website or two helps him out, so be it. Anyone that knows him can attest to the fact that he is an all around good guy that pours his heart and soul into his work.

Dennis
