Hey Gang...

I would love to meet you guys that are close to Tobermory so we can go scuba diving when i get certified in April 2002 after my O/W Dives are done.. Maybe you guys close to me can show me around and I would love to join The Neptune Club, and yes I know i'm in Toronto, Ontario but I feel loved here and would love to be part of the team.. Maybe even be a moderator one day!!

BTW2: How come your classes are so far away. I would have dies of anticipation waiting that long. I signed up and started the classes the following monday and checkout dives the weekend following.

N1Hawk, instead of sending out the individual $50 checks to the people mentioned (and UNMENTIONED) by Syruss, because I am the self-proclaimed unofficial official treasurer of this mass hysteria just send one check to me for $1,000 and I assure you it will be disbursed among the appropriate members.

There is one other thing though. You have to book an 8 day 7 night trip for yourself and me to any resort in the Caribbean so that I can check out your diving techniques to become an illustrious member of the NDI.

I'll wade in here and provide you with the official answer...

Neptune Divers International is almost ready for the official launch. Last I had heard from LadyDiver, we were waiting on the official paperwork to be returned from the correct California government office (expected to arrive at any day).

Membership in NDI is $30/year (application will be available online very shortly, including where to send the app and money). There will be several really nice benefits that will be detailed later.

If you have any more questions about NDI, please direct them to LadyDiver.


As far as being in the Toronto area, the best way to meet up with other ScubaBoard folks is to declare that you are diving in a certain place and invite all to meet you there. That's how the Texas Swamp Diving Team started up. And now we're the best of buds!

N1Hawk, I am very certain that the Canadian contingent will be more than happy to have you join their group (free of charge, of course). And if you ever make it out to San Diego, let me know and I am sure we can arrange something with some of the Southern California folks.

When we open up NDI for enrollment, I will be making an announcement here on the boards and then you can drop me a line for an application.

I have to apologize to N1Hawk as he/she thought I was serious. Wow is that a wierd feeling (someone taking me serious). So anyway I rescinded in private mail to him/her. And told him you were all the very best people to hang out with except Social Diver cause of the greediness issues presented a few posts back....

Well maybe not for free, might cost a beer or two! But I am empowered to drink beer for all of the others in such a case.

Anyway, drop me a line and we'll touch base. We usually dive Kingston/Brockville because it is closer and has shorter boat rides to the wreck. Either way, you'll have to consider getting your AOW and I'd suggest Deep spec quickly as well for Ontario Diving
