I had the older generation Mares Reef 3 which was an awesome wetsuit, used for about 5yrs 450+ dives.. it lasted really well, thread bare but never fell apart.. I loved that suit.. I believe it was manufactured in Bulgaria?

I got one of the new ones (changed design/supplier from 2018?), in less than 4mths around 50 dives, 2 seams are failing already with the neoprene separating from the stitching and I can already feel some linting on the surface covering around the butt/shoulders.. while the neoprene feels soft it is much much cheaper quality material & construction, poor durability and I think it will struggle to last a season let alone 5..

I guess, I loved my old one so much was hoping to maybe find an off brand from the original guys..
