If you're talking about the slide adj. on the Isla, we've never had any issues with the BCD's that we have sold nor have I heard about any problems. As far as being sturdy enough, that wouldn't be the appropriate BC for wreck diving. When choosing a BC you have to ask yourself a couple of questions. How have you liked jacket style BCD's & have you tried a back inflation one?, Where are you going to be diving? If you can picture yourself in 5 years or so what kind of diving interests you? Based on answers to those questions we are able to narrow down some of your choices and get people into the right BC the first time!Carolyne:Hey Dive Junkie,

Let me ask you, what do you think about the shoulder strap sliding adjustment? sturdy enough? I'm just a little concerned that it might wear out.

gemdiver:I was told that the Diva QD is for warmer waters and the LX is for colder water by my LDS. That could account for the price difference.
