Body found in search for diver off Little Barrier Island
Police searching for a diver who went missing off Little Barrier Island have found a body.

A police spokesperson said the woman went missing on Tuesday afternoon.

“The family of the missing diver have been advised and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”

The death will be referred to the Coroner.

Te Hauturu-o-Toi, Little Barrier Island, is located off the coast of north Auckland.

It is New Zealand's first nature reserve and home to a range of critically endangered species.
