Woman diver feared dead at Fife quarry where two teenagers died recently
Police were called to Prestonhill Quarry in Inverkeithing around 10pm last night to search for the diver.

A SCUBA diver is feared dead after she failed to resurface at a Fife quarry where two teenagers died recently.

Kirkcaldy lad John McKay, 18, died at the quarry in June 2015, and Cameron Lancaster, 18, from Burntisland, died there in August 2014.

Police Scotland inspector Ian Stephen of Dalgety Bay Police Station said: “We are coordinating efforts to trace a diver who got into difficulties whilst scuba diving in Prestonhill Quarry, Inverkeithing.

“The incident was reported to police around 10pm on Sunday, July 9, at which time Fire and Rescue officers and HM Coastguard, along with police officers and the Police Scotland helicopter made their way to the quarry to undertake searches.
