I'm a Fish!
So I've decided on a dive rite backplate (steel) and harness (transpack). I am adding the crotch strap as well as cam straps. I really wish they had a back pad with a pocket for a signal tube or other inflate-able. But I digress. Do I have to use a dive rite wing? I like the rec wing... but its for one or two tanks and honestly I want one wing for one tank and a separate wing for doubles. I need 40lbs of lift give or take. and can't seem to find a wing by dive rite that fits that bill. any help out there?

Don't have to. I have a Hog 32 wing on my DR bp.

do you need anything special to attach your Hog 32 to the back plate or its all pretty standard? I'll take a peek at your offer Ken

You can mix and match anything you want. I have a DR Transplate harness with a DSS backplate and an Oxycheq wing. They all fit together really well. You can always buy an SMB/lift bag storage sleeve separately and hang it on the bottom of your plate. There are a few manufacturers out there: in addition to Dive Rite, I think Highland Millworks makes one too, for example.

It's pretty standard. It has a built in STA to help stabilize your cylinder.

Are you sure you aren't talking about the Transplate?

The Transpac wasn't made to be used with a hard backplate. As far as wings go, I would go for a used Halcyon or HOG wing, both of which can be had for pretty cheap and easily. Dont you need to bolt the wing down to the plate though?

The Dive rite venture provides 45 lbs of lift and is perfect for lightweight Al-80's and heavy singles like steel 100's. Also provides a little extra lift for emergency situations.
