Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone has had trouble finding a "perfect fit" with the cummerbund on the Zeagle Ranger. With the bands screwed into the holes towards the back, the cummerbund overlaps approx 3 inches but still shows alot of velcro. With both bands forward one hole position, I have almost too much overlap without even stretching the elastics. I haven't tried one band in the forward hole and the other in the back hole as I think the setup would be off-kilter. Can different sized cummerbund bands be ordered? BTW the BCD is a medium. Words of wisdom appreciated!!

You could try a different cumberbound, but i don't think that'll solve your problem. I did this with the shoulder straps on mine, and did make a difference. But the cumberbounds are all going to line up the same. So there is going to be just as much difference between the adjustment holes on one as the other. I believe the difference in sizes is actually in the vest, lengthwise that is, not the cummberbound. But I could be wrong.

At any rate, you'll be fine if the velcro only catches half way. Mine is this way when I wear a thick suit. And if I let it out another hole it's too big. I've never had a problem with this.

But you might want to try a smaller size BC. The only problem with that is that a smaller size will put the pockets farther back around your sides and make them harder to get into. When I bought my Ranger, the dealer told me that he fits everyone that buys a Ranger in one that will allow it to be taken all the way up and get a good fit. He does this to improvement access to the pockets.

I have a Zeagle Concept so I understand what you're trying to describe. If you off set the holes, you'll see the difference in where the shoulder straps fall...one will be farther out the other farther in. You can buy a larger sized cumberband module...the sizing system is one of the good points about Zeagle....but if it's catching 3-4 inches on land, you'll be fine when you compress underwater. On a dive boat, mine laps over about the same amount but by the time I get to 20-30 feet I am readjusting the cumberbun to take in about 6 more inches! If I let it out to fit me on land, it would be way too big underwater. Make sense?

Yup... I have a medium body ranger with small shoulder + cumberbund. You might want to get the lumbar pad and move the cumberbund to the outside strap? Otherwise 3 inches should be plenty of overlap. You are not relying on the velcro only to hold it in place.
