Yeap, whatever they are called... Some crazy ass dragon Laviathon ****e...

bringing up an old thread, but I was gonna make my light with glands, but while looking at OMS lights, I saw that they use hoses instead of glands.

What are the pros and cons of using one method over the other? (Wire+glands vs hose with twire inside)

Doc:
Main thing I see is the $30 for a hose and possibly the size limitation.. You may get stuck with a 30" hose vs the 27" you may really need.. Just numbers I made up there.

I noticed that as well while at DEMA last year and it is really a trick idea!

Of course a set of Agros is about $24 so the hose may not be far off.

Wire may also be a bit more flexible and less annoying!

True... but I was thinking more in the line of regular 150psi hose (used in stoves) and standard hose ends (forgot the proper term...) held on with some silicone sealant and hose clamps (covered by hose protectors for neatness...). I've made lights of both varieties (hose vs cable) and yes, while cable is more flexible, I'm thinking that maybe the hose would be a somewhat neater solution because it doesn't sag.

Just a thought...

I don't know if you can still get them but I used to have E/O make me up cables with a threaded bulkhead connector at each end. They were a little pricey, but were good to 2,500 meters.
