Hey Oki_Gi, I've been to Okinawa, the diving there is great! No worries the bad season will pass by quickly enough. It's great to have you aboard, I'm assuming you're stationed there right? Do tell!

Diving Gal, There's plenty... I haven't been diving in the closest two places to me. The Baja Peninsula or the Caribbean. Ok, ok, neither is close, but I've covered most bases much farther from here. I'll be taking some of Natasha's trips soon, which should take care of my shortcomings soon though
Oh and I beleive GI is intended to imply 'soldier'

So Mario, Just how many dives do you have under your belt, if I may ask? I'm sure I'll be blown away.
Scuba Widow, sadly only God really knows how many dives I really have. I know it's in the low 4 digits, but don't have an exact count. I can't really honestly say that it matters anymore...
Current water temps are 70F-71F at depth (130'-20') depending on the thermocline and currents. By APR they'll start to go up gradually toward the high 70s where they stay from JUN-SEP then back down again. This winter may be an anamoly as last year this time, we had 64F temps at depth, but my dive buddy who is at 800 dives here over 9 years says 70F is about normal. 3mm farmer john w/ hood works nicely.

They're in the mid 30's to the mid 40's. And yes, some hearty souls do still dive (dry). Me I also need the air temps to be warmer!
