Too Funny. Are those Jet Fins?

Yup they are Jet fins.

Even though he is wearing jets, the reason he isnt getting very far is that he is doing a flutter kick, not a frog kick (you can tell by the indentations in the snow and lack of snow angel like indents) - the fins are best for that type of kick, so he isnt using them optimally ;)

Should this be in Whine and Cheeze or Scuba Humour? I guess it depends on where you're from. ;) I was going to head out last weekend but couldn't get to the dive site because of this mysterious, solid and white precipitation.

I skied at Northstar at Tahoe on Saturday January 8, 2005 during the biggest storm to hit Tahoe since 1916. There were a couple of times I wished that I had brought my snorkle with me.

I left one "skier groomed" trail to avoid some "talkers" (you know, the kind of people that stop in the middle of a trail to chat amongst themselves, regardless of how wide or narrow the trail is). I briefly detoured out into deep untracked powder in a relatively flat area. It was like skiing into an airbag. My boot came out when I tried to pick up my skis. I had to fish around to find my ski, and it was down so far that I almost needed a safety stop on the way back up.

Not that I am complaining. . . . but we could have done better without the occasional 50 - 100 mph winds.

Wristshot

Missing being underwater, but enjoying skiing over the top of it. Come to think of it, I was under a bunch!

Sounds just like shopping at Costco.

Last time I did that my boot didn't come off, wish it would have. I pulled up so hard to keep my tips ups and popped my big toenail.

note to self; don't do black diamond runs at end of day when tired.
Also avoid rental boots.

or you can just switch to snowboarding.... don't have to worry about those pesky harb boots and popping skis out. :D Just a thought.

IMHO he could have made further progress and conserved his breathing gas by using a Gavin scooter. :eyebrow:
