Anyone been diving, besides the quarrys? Thinking about hitting the saint clair river this weekend if the ice flow isnt crazy. Anyone been river diving? Im sick of doing this  inside the cabin:D

Assisted Discover Scuba last weekend - does a pool session count? :D

Sunday, I am heading up to take part in a drysuit demo in Wisconsin. By June, I should have my drysuit and training. Hopefully, next year I will be diving some of the chilly stuff. :)

Any diving is better than no diving so i guess the pool does count. I am sure the river will be cold but the trusty dry suit should help out a tad bit.

The river stay open most of the year unless the ice flows down from lake huron and pluggs it up. Last weekend it was wide open all the way across. Its good diving in the winter no boat traffic and good vis.We are not diving under the ice in the river.

When the ice is thicker than the blade on my chainsaw its time to find softer water. Diving is Maui right now, 75 degree water and visibility as far as you want it to be. Plus the the fish are colors other than brown and black! Unfortunately I will have to come back and then its back to the drysuit......
