I tried the Oxycheq razor on my TransPac and the tank straps would not fit properly and wasn't even close. I ended up with the DiveRite travel wing that work perfect but will not work with a regular back plate.

That's supposed to be fixed with the latest Travel wings, which have a grommeted strap. Unfortunately for me, that's also when they decided to move the butt dump to the inside. If you ever want to sell your travel wing to get the new one that does work with BPs, I'll buy your old travel wing.

The problem with the transpac is it doesn't give you many options to move the wing up or down. I know the Halcyon won't work as I tried it.

...well, just this past weekend I assembled my dive buddy's new BP/wing as follows:

Zeagle soft BP 'pad'
Diverite AL BP
Diverite Transpac 'harness'
Oxycheq Mach V 'Extreme' 40 lbs wing
Oxycheq light weight STA

...it's a thing of beauty ! :D

The Oxy & DSS won't work with the cam bands. An OMS 32 will fit the cam bands. One of the HOG wings may also fit the cam bands.

In an exchange with Scott on this board he said he uses an Oxy 30lb wing (IIRC) with a TP by attaching it with a single tank adaptor. I'd never thought of doing this with a single tank & my first thought was that the bolts would surely dig into the back. He assured me that this is what he had always done & it worked just fine. I never did try it myself, but if it is the case almost any wing with grommets at 11" centres could be made to work.

But thats a Transplate, not a Transpac.

OMS wings seem to do fine on my Transpac, but it's the first model. I don't know if things moved on the Transpac II or later models.

Cheers----Chris

...not quite....I'm actually using a TRANSPAC.....the BP does NOT have any webbing strung through it, the BP is being used to provide a way to mount the STA and to increase the solidity/stability of the 'system'. (also, the BP has 'holes' on the edges which I'm using to run some black surgical tubing 'loops' through to hold an SMB)

Ahh, yet another way to skin the cat. Thanx for the clarification.
