Definatly not a technical orientated Wing, what I was looking at, but is a better upgrade for the jacket BCD I have now, before I get further in to training and get in to technical diving and get me a BP/W for doubles.

I'm slowing down and taking it easy, and not get in to big jumps of gear and training, following Mr. Lewis advice as well as others as well in SB.

Why not get BP/Wing for singles before you get into tech? it's still a great option and all you'll have to do is just get a doubles wing when you're ready to move forward.

That is true too, but if technical diving will not be a daily thing and it will be more recreational, as well to reach a level of trimex is a long way, I can do the Advance Nitrox and Deco procedures, do technical diving at recreational depths, by the time I advance in to trimix there I will find more the need of a harness with BP doubles, the recreational wing I was locking at, I believe it have the capacity to make it a hybrid for technical diving but at recreational depth and use it with 3 bottles, baby steps at the time.

Technical diving, by definitely is you will not have direct access to surface. In this case, it is due to deco obligation. So you will need redundancy (double) and very likely a deco gas. If not BP/w, what will you use for that?

I would say start off the right foot, it will make your life much easier later.

Why not start now with the setup you are advancing too? I have been diving from the start with a single tank wing. Without too much trouble I switched to doubles, but still use my single tank wing with great pleasure.

The great thing about diving with a well adjusted wing is you don't have to adapt to yet another new piece of gear. It feels comfy and reliable no matter what wing I use, they feel the same. That includes long hose, double 1st stages, cannister light, D-rings at the sameplace, etc. Next stop for me will be drysuit argon bottle and stage(s). But I am still using my trusted setup, so I just have to adapt to some piece of new gear instead of all new gear. Makes life a lot easier.

I did finish my deep diving course today, before that, I decided to buy the single wing BP/W as the DC give me a decent deal and did my last dive with it, I'm very satisfied with my purchase, a complete world of difference with the other BCD I have, very comfortable to walk with your tank a long way on the surface, very balanced, superb horizontal trim and wonderful to swim on the surface as it keeps your head much above water with choppy sea, I actually was surprised that it was easy on the vertical position as well, I did buy a "L" size with 45lb of lift since it still was a good fit, capacity of the rig is 3 bottles comfortable, I still can put my 1/4 emergency bottle attach to the back or later buy a 1/2 bottle if I want to go a bit deeper.

I do like the flexibility of this rig, 1 or 2 or 3 bottles.

Baby steps at the time. later with more school and experience I jump to something where I can carry 4 or more if i need to.

thanks for your inputs
