Does anyone know who makes a short wing for smaller tanks? I have 2 HP80s that are just a hair under 20" and most, if not all, wings extend beyond that by an inch or so. I'm pretty sure they don;t make short wings but thought I'd ask from the more experienced divers.

What size wing are you looking for? In general the more lift the larger the wing.

I put a ruler on a DSS Torus 20 and the length was 21 inches, deflated. I am not a big fan of DSS wings, however the Torus wing may be the best wing for your purpose because it is a horseshoe wing. Because there is no bladder at the bottom portion of the wing by the tank you reduce the risk of tank damage on the wing. The only other suggestion is to move the wing up on the tank if it does not affect your trim.

I don't need much lift. It's mainly to neutralize me in the water when I'm wearing just shorts and a 3mm vest. The 80 is just a tad heavy and i have to constantly be moving or I'll sink which increases air consumption and tires out my legs. This is mainly warm shallow dives (summer time quarries or pools). I wear different tanks when diving a drysuit and wear a different wing. The wing i have now will work but being longer than the hp80, when i sit down it'll pinch the bottom of the wing. I had the same issue with a DSS torus 30 something and a 72

Edit: I meant to say LCD 20

I meant to say LCD 20, not Torus. The Torus is a donut wing with an oval bladder. The LCD is what I have and measured and it has a horseshoe bladder. Because there is no bladder in back of the tank, it should be less likely damage the wing from tank pinch.
