He wont, not in any wetsuit however semidry it claims to be :p
He wont notice it after his brains go numb from the cold water tho :eyebrow:

I agree with the recommendation of a diaphragm first stage (good list already provided). The Zoop is pretty good for the price, and you can ditch the 2 gauge console and just get a nice 2.5" SPG. I also strongly agree with the BP/W....and Halcyon's Infinity system gets my nod. It seems to work well with wings other than the Eclipse, and I believe that it lives up to the hype. Just don't get the ACB weight pockets with it--a weight belt and (take your pick--weighted single tank adapter/'trim weights' combination) work well. Oh and good luck with the wetsuit in 4C water. Hopefully you're not planning on having kids anytime soon!

AFAIK, sealing the Z2 requires an optional kit (a rubber ring and some grease), however once you do this, it will be just fine in any water that's still liquid.

Also, Fall is the best time to dive in your area, but at that point, the water is closer to 10C or warmer, which is actually really nice diving if you have the right exposure protection.

flots.

Well it's hugely expansive for BC... I was hoping I could try one before. You think they'll be renting BP&W at Tank Ha in Mexico when I go in January?

I agree, it's not cheap. You can find less expensive configurations (Deep Sea Supply for example) and likely save almost $400 that route. Of course there is the used market too. Combined I've spent waaay more than $900 on items that either sit on a shelf somewhere or I sold for a loss. Regarding BP/W rentals--I have no idea, but I'd be interested in knowing as well!

I think a diaphragm first stage is a really good idea... I dive the same waters that you will and I never had any problems with my Scubapro mk 17... And you definitely should go with a BP/W or anything else than a BCD, I regret mine every day...
For the Zoop, that's what i've got and it's working fine, but if you got a little extra cash the Viper is a really good choice, there's a back light and a dive planner that is better than the Zoop.

Is that a dive computer?
