Will a Mares X-Vision/Pure Vision strap fit an Aqualung Micromask?

I need to replace the neoprene strap on my Aqualung Micromask with a silicone strap for freediving. Of course I no longer have the original strap that came with it, which I wasn't a big fan of anyway. I'd prefer just a plain split style strap.

If I hold the mask up next to my Mares X-Vision it looks like the clips are pretty much the same size. Can anyone confirm if an X-Vision strap will fit a Micromask?

Straps are in the main universal, you're likely ok. Can you not try it?

The Micromask uses a thinner strap that has more teeth than a standard mask strap. Of course I replaced the original strap on my X-Vision with a neoprene strap too. Otherwise I would have just tried it instead of asking here.

In case anyone else is wondering, it's a perfect fit. The only thing is it doesn't come with the plastic clips to secure the ends of the strap.
