Ok, so we were married two years ago in Belize and for any number of excuses, the honeymoon was put on hold (not the least of which was we spent two weeks in Belize with our friends before the wedding.:D )

So, we are beginning to plan an extended trip. We'll have about three weeks and are planning to do the trip over the Christmas/New Years time frame. With that backdrop, I am very into the big creatures, she loves the muck diving. She's got alot of easy diving under her belt, and I've been in lots of hairy situations. She'd like a bit more of a challenge diving as we are planning to do the Galapagos in the next couple of years. We'd be perfectly happy with a high end liveaboard for a week and then some resort time. Open to all suggestions.

We've never been to the Pacific. So, with all of this information, I'd love suggestions. While money is always an issue at some level, its not really for this trip. We've done everything from the backpacking trip through the jungle to uberlux villas in the BVIs.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and suggestions.

French Polynesia, no other real choice (IMHO). Week long live-aboard to the atolls and passes and then some overwater bungaloo time on Moorea and Bora Bora and it will take a year to get the smiles off your faces.

Vanuatu... go to santo, stay at bokissa (very nice) or the Deco Stop (nice) and dive the coolidge

liveaboard.. solomons or png

Maybe "Golden Dawn" PNG, reported to have plenty of sharks and muck diving - time on shore could bring you some interesting stops. Maybe check out the Highlands of PNG. Or maybe New Britain, Walindi - Star Dancer

These are great selections folks. Thanks tons. Caymaniac, I love that picture of sharks. From the angle it looks like they are in open water. Great shot. The squid is great too.

That's not a squid, it is a Cuttle fish, they are about 2ft. long and can change color.

Funny girl Almity. What I meant was in deep blue (e.g. not over a reef).
