Wide angle for Maui: Rectilinear or fisheye?

I just used the same dome that I use with my 12-40mm lens... a 180mm dome with the N85-to-N120 adapter (which makes it fit my housing). The pictures came out good, but it felt slow to autofocus. A buddy said that it works better with a flat port. But I don't have one.

I always found my 12-40 quite snappy to AF, though that may vary with what camera you are using. I have the EM-1 II which is pretty good on AF.
 
Agreed, my 12-40 is fast with my EM-5 II. It’s just my 60mm in the big dome that’s slow to autofocus.
