And last, but not least, Sea Hunt.
That's what did it for me!
I remember skipping school so I could sneak home and watch Sea Hunt reruns.

I just loved the concept of breathing underwater. Its really weird if you think about it.

And anyway, I just wanted to be a lumberjack..............

Always been attracted to it, back to Sea Hunt.
Skin diving has been wicked relaxing.
Great motivation for overall fitness.
We get to be 3 dimensional creatures in the water instead of existing on a plane
I want an adventure.
Cool gear
At 48 it's not quite now or never but I gotta get on with it if I'm going to enjoy it for a while.
Lot's of beautiful intersting stuff down there that you have no clue of from shore. Of ten in places I would have never guessed.
Something my wife and I enjoy together, I hope.

Pete

30 days til OW class starts and counting.

I needed something new and refreshing. <Tearing up> I got to a point where snipe hunting and cow tipping just weren't doing it for me anymore.

LOOOOL I just about sprayed my morning coffee all over my computer. That's the best laugh I've had in days.

I guess that puts you, along with the Sea Hunt crowd, in the adventure seeker category.

1. To get a close look at the wrecks I could see from my boat but not check out up close, like my pals!
2. Divers in most cases are just a GREAT GROUP OF FOLKS!
3. A great reason to go on vacation some place warm-and do something other than drive your spouse & kids nuts!

Nature and Water Baby

I hate water.

But it looked cool and adventurous. I first got into caving, then kayaking, then skiing.. and a couple of my friends decided to try diving. I still don't like the water but I love how much fun it is, the skill set, the feeling of weightlessness, and the challenge of doing it well.
