I just bought a standard Ranger recently and I LOVE it. Has maybe 5 dives on it.

Just noticed they're still $630 on LeisurePro but the LTD is $575...with 10% off it comes to $517 I believe...Incredible

Considering selling my Ranger on Craigslist and getting the LTD....Smart move for the long run? Or too much hassle for what it's worth?

Why are they so cheap all of a sudden though? Normally $780...

Sizing is identical right? So if I wear a Medium Ranger I'd get a Medium Ranger LTD?

[-]Although I can't find the listing you're talking about - it's possible it's last years model. Also LP isn't a Zeagle dealer afaik so they don't have to hold their price. Not that Zeagle really controls that but my LDS at least sells them at list.

Scubatoys doesn't afaik. [/-] later edit: see post below this one.

But why sell yours? Add a lumbar pad and you've got basically the same thing - minus the zip accessory system - which I've never used in 5 years.

If you're mostly diving warm in your area, the Brigade from Scubatoys is a Ranger harness with an Escape wing - for $400.

Zeagle Ranger LTD BCD
10% code BCD10

What about the extra D-rings for cylinders? Thought the zip accessory thing looked useful haha

I paid $480+tax for my Ranger from the LDS

Ok, that is the new Ranger LTD. Notice the slightly different design than yours. (and mine which was based on yours)

So good price. And evidently LP is a Zeagle dealer now.

Both have 6 D-Rings according to the specs. on the Zeagle website:

# 4 Stainless angled D-rings on shoulders (two adjustable)
# 2 Stainless D-rings on vest

But you can add more to the new LTD if needed. I don't sling tanks so for me that's a non-issue.

At $575 it seems like you're paying for the Airlock comfort and right shoulder pull dump. And Gray color option.

!0% code seems to have expired:

I'm still using the original. Added D rings all over the place.

BEAUTIFUL.

Whatever you drop selling yours, make sure it's not on your foot.

It may weigh like a tank.

These are the added features according to Zeagle, none of which is that important to me at this current time. I can buy the lumbar pad, I don't dive with weight due to steel tanks, extra D rings could be useful, and maybe the zippered accesories, but I think I can get the zipper mount for my standard ranger.

-A lumbar pad is permanently mounted in the rear of the vest section
-A pair of 18lb capacity shot pouches are included
-An extra set of vertically mounted D-rings are positioned ideally on the vest for mounting extra cylinders or accessories
-Two additional 1.5" D-rings are located at the bottom rear of the vest
-A Zipper attachment system mounted inside each wing of the bladder allows for the attachment of a variety of carriers and accessories, including Pony bottle carriers, Spare Air carriers, extra pockets, and grommet panels
-Accessories can be easily changed for different diving requirements. Check out some of the currently available accessory attachments and other features.
-Expandable zippered utility pocket on front of vest

Are you talking about the original Ranger?

Me or knowone?

I was comparing this one - which I assumed you own - my older LTD is based on it also:
Ranger - Heavy Duty BCs - BCs - Zeagle Dive Systems

to the new LTD:
Ranger LTD - Heavy Duty BCs - BCs - Zeagle Dive Systems

Zip Mount Adaptor for your Ranger?
Zip Mount Adaptor - Straps Pads and Mounts - BC Accessories - Zeagle Dive Systems

none of which is that important to me at this current time
Ok, then I'm done here. :cool2:

Hi,

May I inquire the 18#capacity shot pouches? Can you
provide me with the link on where to get those?

Much thanks in advance,
mks

Zeagle Brigade BCD discounts on sale Zeagle

That's pretty cool. Will definitely keep in mind if I ever do retire the Ranger.

For now, I just purchased a lumbar pad for it for $30 and decided to just keep it.
