I can honestly say I have never been attacked by an elephant while scuba diving ... ;)

Honestly, I think more people get killed by text messaging on cell phones while driving. We ought to ban text messaging, especially while scuba diving. My guess, within a few years, we can text message underwater -- then we'll really need to learn CESA.

I think snakes are the number one killers, bees/wasp are next .... Elephants and sharks are pretty low... I think.

But what does this have to do with CESA??

Again, there is NO 100% fullproof method of assuring you will get air from another source on the way up, either from a buddy or a backup system you have attached to you....All this falls under long shots, but don't ever rule long shots out....

To which, I replied, "What shark repellent do you carry?"

Then, other folks started chiming in with other long shot scenarios that we should be prepared for while scuba diving... like being crushed by an elephant.

Loose association and flights of ideas are symptoms of schizophrenia..... Now to find out who the whackos are on scubaboard.

If you can text underwater then you can text "OOA" to your buddy.

Of course he might text back "n00b, I'm 2 l33t 2 share w/u, CESA!"

If I had any idea what you are talking about, I think I would have to reply:

"Sticks and stones may break my bones...."

They are also signs of abstract thought, which is a sign of intelligence. Potatoe Potato.
