Why Can't I Post?​


This is one of the most asked questions we get at Support@ScubaBoard.com and there are many reasons.

You're not registered or logged in​

There's a problem with your account​

  • You haven't finished registration (make sure the follow up e-mail is not in your spam folder]
  • Your e-mail is incorrect
  • Contact support@ScubaBoard.com for assistance.

  • Message at the top and bottom of the page indicates "Not open for further replies."
  • This thread is an example.

Can't start a new thread​

Some forums do not have a button for to start a new thread (by design).

You may also see this message in other forums that require special access privileges.

You're in a restricted forum​

  • Any limitations are spelled out in the special rules for that forum.
  • You can't post in Hot Deals unless you're an advertiser or Business Sponsor
  • You can't post in any classifieds forum until you have at least five posts
    • These were created to benefit active members of our community
    • This rule prevents scammers and spammers from inundating our forum
    • If all you want to do is sell, then maybe eBay and/or Craigs List is better for you and us

You've been thread banned!​

Follow the Terms of Service and Rules (ToS) to avoid this! Members can be banned for ToS violations for varying time periods from three days to permanently. A ban can apply to a thread, a forum, or the entire site.
