Why bother with GUE fundamentals?

When one could just read, practice, and spend the money on a cavern/intro cave course? Plusses and minuses?? Why not enjoy the cavern, and not worry about another C card.

It bugs me that they say my seacure mouthpiece is not DIR compliant!!

I'm not a student of GUE, but it makes sense to my why your seacure isn't DIR. However, if you don't like it... then don't take the DIR-F course. It's not a requirement unless you plan on taking further courses with GUE.

I also think it's an uneducated statement to compare DIR-F to "just another C-Card"

I hope that some GUE trained divers give you honest answers, and that the trolling stays to a minimum though

Seems like nobody has a good answer. Looks like Cavern/Intro is the way to go.
