I have been known to be not very smart, so maybe that is the problem.
Looking at the size chart, I am confused. Anytime I had to be measured at the chest, it was the circumference at the nipples, not sure how women deal with that as they age, but that is not my issue. I am sure the t-shirts are adult sizes, so are those measurements in the chart measured accross the T-shirt as it lays flat?
I went ahead and ordered an X-Large, because that is what I usually wear.
All the shirts are based on adult sizing. Use the measurement chart as your guide.

That was where my confusion came in. I am just an averaged sized guy, but the XL with a 26 inch chest seems quite small. I am guessing the chart is askew, just wanted to bring it to somebody's attention.

The XL has a 26" chest across the front. The total width would be twice that amount 52".
If anyone has a question or concern, there is an area there for feedback.
