I am curious if some people would be interested in a custom recreational boat trip during the week? I am thinking like 10 - 12 people on the Escapade for a two or three tank trip. Departure could be something like 10 or 11am so we can commute down there without having to wake up at my bed time. Minimum is 8 people, max is 15. The cost will be higher than a weekend trip - for example, with 8 people it should be around $132 + tips for a two tank trip, and with 12 people it would be $88 + tips. A three tank trip will be more.

The advantage of a private/custom trip is we can better define the kind of dives so that everyone one on board has similar capabilities which lets the captain pick spots that everyone should be able to enjoy.

In terms of dives and skills, I would say this would not be a fresh from OW training kind of dive trip. The Lois Ann charter in San Diego has experience criteria on their site. I was thinking of something similar, like you probably don't want to go on this trip if they are not comfortable:
- going to 100',
- making a free descent,
- establishing buoyancy w/o doing a fin pivot on the bottom
- navigating and gas mgmt skills to account for current and things like that so they can come back near the boat before having to surface,
- making a free ascent w/o the anchor line and holding a safety stop
- previous cold water experience in the last year
- decent buddy skills...as in once underwater they remember that they have a buddy

I am not available until mid November at the earliest....maybe something mid to late November?

Oops - sorry about the poll title...I guess I can't edit that.
