It should be clear by then, if not already. Could always do peacock/OG or ginnie as a backup. This would be a intro level cave dive for any new buddies.

is little river a cavern dive or strictly cave?

If our radio mapping thing falls through at Vortex (which it might from what I hear due to the state of the radio) I'll end up down that way.

I've only dived little river once and I can't wait to get back in there.

SMOKEAIRE:

if Venice beach falls through because of the spill, do you want to do a cavern dive
at Little River? it's near Peacock. and we could watch with awe as the cave divers
vanish into the system...

what do you say?

I dove LR last weekend. The water in the basin is nice and clear...tons and tons of locals hanging around. Make sure you lock your vehicle up...if I had my Stars and Bars flying with a pinch between my cheek and gum, I would have fit in real well! The viz was a bit chalky..probably around 25 - 30ft or so and the flow was KICKING the first 200 ft or so. I tried to pull and glide, but it was more of just pull, pull, pull! Went a little past the merry go round..around 1300-1400ft. The viz never really got any better. Still fun, though!

Sound good to me, but I need to know fairly early on this week as several of our non-cavern trained club members are planning to go VB.
OBTW: FJ is Farmer John. My 7mm top went missing after I pack the car and got home.
