It's a short docu-drama that was originally filmed by MacGillivary Freeman for IMAX ... the cinematography is outstanding.

I've been waiting for "The Cave" to be released in my area, but still nothing. I don't get it...the movie has been out for 2-3 months. Is it already out of the theatres and I missed it? Or are they rolling it out sloooowly? I live in NY-Long Island.

Just bought the big blue last night and also saw a real winner on tcm called around the world under the sea, with lloyd bridges,david mccallum, keenan wynne and a bunch of others. not sure when it was made but it's in color and local video stor may be able to get it. I recorded it but missed the first 20 min. Then of course there's the deep, the abyss, deep star six, red water, open water (hey don't throw that at me I know it's crap but it's a must for what not to do), sea hunt series(I've got 39 episodes) and there's always the documentaries.
