It's obvious that you're on the East Coast
since anyone else would not have found
that post offensive. With the possible
exception of that guy out in East Wazoo.

The problem is that there are too many
people in this room that don't read editorials,
don't read op ed columns, don't read John
Leo, or Ann Coulter, or Safire, or Quindlen
or Will or anything that doesn't have numbers
in it. The level of comprehension is absymal!
Every expression of opinion is a troll to them.

What is merely clever use of speech to jepuskar
is highly offensive to the literal minded. If you want'
to be offended this is the place to do it.
:upset:

Actually, I should have said offensive to some. As I said before, I would have rather debated than have it yanked.

Don't give yourself too much credit. It takes more than the delusional rantings of some PI hack to upset me.:D (now there is an example of offensive).

This is really getting out there. Congratulations on using clever and Jepuskar in the same sentence.

FWIW, I enjoy Will. Quindlen is a whiny liberal, but she has her moments. Safire is funny as hell sometimes, other times just pendantic and boring.

The beauty of free speech is that you are free to start your own BBS if you want. The Gov't shouldn't interfere.

Here in Texas we encourage our young to learn about Guns so they learn how and when to kill the proper way so as not to cause unwanted or slow death. I bought my daughter a bow for Christmas this year so she can learn to kill with out makeing noise. You know how the liberals are about the enviroment and noise polution.

That's one of the reasons I loved Texas (Goodfellow AFB and Fort Hood when I was in the Army).

Let me be perfectly clear. That is precisely what I mean.

Simple rules.

Rule 1. All guns are loaded at all times.

Rule 2. Don't point your gun at anything you are not willing to destroy.

Rule 3. If you do need to point your gun at something, be sure to do it before they point back.

Rule 4. Have the biggest, baddest, fastest gun you can carry.

In my case, that's an S&W 4006 as a primary, S&W 3913 backup and, if the poo-poo really hits the rotating inclined plane, a match grade M1A and an H&K Mark 23 with laser aim point.

BTW, I don't know about the bow as a silent means of taking down the opposition. Seems to me Knight Armaments makes just what I need for that (although Massachusetts won't let me buy it).

Sure there is. Being killed by someone making a racket.

I started carrying the day a defendant (who was being served with a court order while I supervised the bank's take over) pulled a Glock out of his desk and came at me. Now its like they said in the old AMEX commercials "Don't leave home without it"

a match grade M14
You wouldn't happen to mean a national match M1A would you? I didn't know M-14's were legal to own?

Northeastwrecks,

It is a small world. I grew up at Ft. Hood (actualy Copperas Cove) and served there twice. When I was in the Army I prefered a 20 mm cannon firing 3000 rds per min of HE.

You, sir, are correct. My bad. I typoed and hit "4" instead of "A (that's what happens when you try to type and talk on the phone at the same time).

That said, I'm curious. I'm much more a pistol guy. I bought the M1A as a nice toy from a friend. It looks just like an M14 as far I can tell.

Are the differences similar to the differences between an AR15 and an M16?

gedunk

My father owns a Mini 14 just like the one he carried in 67-69.
