You are clearly the front-runner for oldest active instructor. (Got me by 6 years !) Bravo.

What’s LEO,SO?

Well I am probably not the oldest but I got to be up there with some of the oldest, DOB 1942 = 66. Started diving in 59-60 with Healthways gear bought from J.C. Penny's for less than $100. I sold my 2 - 72 cuft steel Healthways tanks about 8 years ago and they still hydro'ed good, both 1/2 npt thread and one with a J-valve. Gave regulator to a friend and he said he was sendng it to a museum:rofl3: I just wanted some new gear:rofl3:

Went the other day in cold Wisconsin lake just to get wet.:shakehead: Heading to Aruba again November for a week of diving.:D

I think knotical has me by a few years. I am 67 and still diiving. I was wondering how many years I could keep it up (diving I mean).
I just dive more conservatively now. I am glad to see others that are not letting the young folks have all the fun.

I'm 68. Does that make me a grumpy old diver? Started diving in 1956 or so. I still have my old Dacor two hose regulator. Don't dive it though.

I'm a PADI divemaster and dive almost every week, mostly for fun and to take pictures. Do a lot of kayak diving off the South Florida coast.

And I ain't gonna quit till I can't pick up my gear anymore.:D

Why quit then? You can have a friend pick it up and carry it. I ain't gonna quit 'til I can't move my gear through the water anymore.

I am glad to see older Divers. It Gives me hope that I can keep doing what I love to do.

I also still surf but I just content myself with easy waves and no Hurricane surf.

I dont know about any one else, but when I am in the water I don't feel old. I feel the same as I did 40 years ago. Now the next day may be a different story.

As far as that old Dacor, rebuild it and dive it. I am restoring a Dacor Diving lung right now. It was not the best breather in the world but still a nice piece of diving history.
