At the start of the winter, we were all talking about getting together for skiing. But it never quite happened.

Did people end up getting out on the snow? I know Mer did, gmbaker & Jade also. Anyone else?

I sorta managed to get skiing out of my head over the last couple weeks, then I got the DVD from the monday night race series [I'm still looking for footage of Mer, but no luck yet].

I found a couple of myself. I'm on the blue course in both clips [closer to the camera]. After all the really bad pictures I saw this season of me, I'm really liking video! (vids are 1 Meg and 1.2 Meg)

I made a couple of trips up to Sunday River, and another to some mountian in New Hampshire or other.

but ended up spending all my extra dough and time on remodeling - had to do it, leaking pipes! ;-0

Yeah man,

60 days so far this season and still skiing at least 4 days a week!!!

I have only been out 16 days so far. I can see doing maybe 3 more days. The mountain where I have a season pass, Nakiska, just didn't get the snow this year and spring has sprung in the base area. Two weeks ago there was a huge pond that formed in the base area and an impromptu jump the pond event ensued. It was a ton of fun sitting, drinking beer and watching people land in the water. Then there was the girl in the white tee shirt, what was she thinking.... I know what I was thinking and was brought back to reality with a slap to the head from my wife!

I get a Threedom Pass every year and went for 2-3 days about every other week at Loon. Heck of a lot better than last year!

Even though Spectre's season is over, who else's isn't yet?

My day count is just not sufficient yet: 4 days, 7 nights.

Especially since skiing in 40 deg weather is much more comfortable than diving in 40 deg water, who wants to go out and do some rapid decents with me?

Any interests in Monday, March 31st? I have extra $10 American Skiing Company coupons.

(Yeah, I know I've been delinquent on the board... 3 jobs sucks.)

I only put in 5 days this season, I tore a meniscus in Jan. I'd love to say that I did it while jumping off a cliff or by skiing on glades or something, but the truth is that I did it after I had taken off my skis and was walking in the parking lot to catch the shuttlebus and slipped on ice. :upset:
However, it started feeling better after about 6 weeks, and my Dr. said that if I didn't have any more pain, there was no point in messing with it, and I took that as a green flag to ski on it. (Okay, I am sure that he would have slapped me if he saw me on skis, so sue me).
I went to VT 2 weeks ago, and it was great! The knee felt weird after my first day, it was the best ski day I have had in years. I skied on it the next day, and it actually felt pretty good.

It is time to put the skis away and dust off the bikes and scuba gear.
