Heading up to Whitestar for the first time tomorrow. Anyone know if my teenage daughters will be allowed to snorkel in the area where we are diving or if they have to go to the beach area?

If they do have to use the beach area, how far is it from where your diving area is?

Thanks, It's our first time to Whitestar so we weren't sure what to expect.

Anyone else going to be there tomorrow?

TommyT, when we were there yesterday the surface was about 85 degrees, the deepest we went was around 47 ft and it was about 59 degree there.

sounds chilly at the botttom!! my son is doing his check out dives this weekend! i hope its a little warmer than that at the bottom for his sake

We had 63F at 70ft Aug 6th. Bob went without gloves for all his dives and was comfortable. We were wearing our lightest undies under our drysuit.

If you want to see some UW pics, he took some Sunday.

We'll be there on Saturday, maybe we'll see you there foneguy.

About the best you will get at the bottom is 60 degrees. Hopefully he won't be all the way to the bottom for the check out dives. Good luck to your son fone guy. We also will be diving there on Saturday.

Becky and I will be out there around 9:30 or ten tomorrow (and I might be out there today around 5, if my stomach ever decides to behave). Keep an eye out for the silver Chevy Prism sedan, or the silver Pontiac Vibe tomorrow; we'd love to meet some more board members. :)
