what is the vis? should I make the 4 hour drive or just dive in the local quarries were vis is 10 to 15 feet?

thanks for any info

To be honest I have not been there this year. Last season and the one before, every time I went to White star the viz was about 15 feet. I enjoy diving White star, so if you want a change of scenery it will be a good time. Have you ever been to Gilboa? Gilboa is where I have been diving this year and the viz ranges from 15' to 35'+. Gilboa is a fantastic place to dive. I think it would be worth the small amount of extra driving to go to Gilboa.

I had to bail this past weekend, but I heard both quarries were packed to the gills and the parking was non-existent.

your are right.cars were backed up on the main road both ways waiting for the gate to open we got in right away ahead of all the students. vis was 30' +- second dive pretty stirred up
but I was still diving
