It appears that Whidby Island Dive Center in Oak Harbor has closed. I'm wondering where people go on the island to get equipment, fill up air and go dive? I'm here for a few months with my dry suit and I'm itching to go diving, but I'm not going by myself.

Anyone, anyone? Bueller?

Anacortes Diving and Supply.

Thanks! Looks like there is a place in Port Townsend also (Octopus Gardens).

Anacortes is the closest to Whidbey. I live on Whidbey (although I'm away the next while) and the dives are okay but not fantastic so I'd moderate your expectations.
Exception to that would be "The Fingers" which was outstanding via DPV and Skyline in Anacortes. Deception Pass I haven't had the time off when the tides were right.

I'm not expecting much, i'm more wanting to get into the water, get more experience with my dry suit, and log more dives.

What is "The Fingers" and DPV or Skyline? I can't seem to find them anywhere online related to Anacortes

In that case you will want to hookup with the community dives organized out of Anacortes, the local tides are extreme enough that having them help you determine when it's a good time to dive is a solid plan. Most take place at Rosario Bay or Keystone.

Fingers is a dive site. DPV is a dive propulsion vehicle or scoot/scooter. They're used to access sites better from shore and to aide with the tides. Skyline is another dive site.

Oh man. I don't check this website often, but we were at keystone on whidbey just today, you could have joined us! We go pretty often. Its a fantastic dive site! Forums like nwdiveclub or facebook are a little more active for divers around here.
